The project reviews available microphone-array technologies for detecting acoustic drone signatures. The student will define the required parameters, design and build a device, and experimentally verify its operation.

The scope can be adapted to the student’s background and extended into a bachelor’s or master’s thesis.

Requirements

  1. Review microphone-array technologies for acoustic drone detection.
  2. Define input parameters such as microphone count and required detection range.
  3. Design and manufacture a new device.
  4. Prepare an experimental methodology and perform verification tests.
  5. Evaluate the design and propose further improvements.
