Design and Development of a Microphone Array for Drone Detection
Design, fabrication, and experimental evaluation of a microphone array for capturing acoustic drone signatures.
The project reviews available microphone-array technologies for detecting acoustic drone signatures. The student will define the required parameters, design and build a device, and experimentally verify its operation.
The scope can be adapted to the student’s background and extended into a bachelor’s or master’s thesis.
Requirements
- Review microphone-array technologies for acoustic drone detection.
- Define input parameters such as microphone count and required detection range.
- Design and manufacture a new device.
- Prepare an experimental methodology and perform verification tests.
- Evaluate the design and propose further improvements.
